"sin" is a religious term and so is defined differently by each religion
we hear a lot that in some sects of Islam, certain types of suicide are not only not sin, they are great virtues to be rewarded in heaven
in virtually all the Christine traditions, suicide is considered a sin
and it doesn't really matter how bad it gets or if you can take it any more or if you would rather just end it
you could say the same about murder, it is still considered a sin to murder your wife even if things are getting to the point where you think you can't take it anymore and would rather just end it all for her
aside from the sin thing, the really bad thing about suicide is that it is irrevocable
it could be that soon, things will work out in your life, that you will meet a great love, of have a great experience, or start on something great
suicide is a permant decision that might end current suffering but will certainly rule out much future joy, and you just can't change your mind later

Committing suicide takes a lot of guts, even though everyone says its the cowardly way out and therefore it is a sin to take your own life in most religions. Because there's always a way to make things better, people need to communicate more openly, parents should be listening to their children, even it means turning of the TV, and we all should recognize depression in a person. However life has become so fast, nobody pays attention anymore. But I am talking too much, Sorry.
Yes it's a sin, because its the only life you've got and it's too damn short anyway.

It never really gets that bad outside of the thoughts in our mind.
The first thing that someone should be considering is whether the idea of sin is actually real.
If God is supposed to be perfect how could She have made anything or anyone that wasn't.
Think about it. The idea of sin assumes certain things about God that seem highly unlikely.
All this talk about sin sounds like a bunch of nonsense to me.
First it assumes a God who is too incompetent to organize a simple educational field excursion and figure out a way to get all of the students home safely.
How likely is this that God would not be smart enough to come up with a plan for our salvation that is going to work?
It also assumes that God must have created us imperfect if we are sinners.
One might assume that God would be able to create someone perfect each and every time if he chose to. Assuming God is capable of this, then it follows logically that we must be perfect creations if we are actually creations of this perfect God.
Unless of course you are saying that God chose to create us imperfect.
If God created us imperfect then anything that may go wrong is Gods fault, not ours. This seems a bit illogical at best so I think that we need to assume that What God creates would have to be perfect.
If this is the case and Gods creations are perfect, then nothing that we can do could change what God created perfect and make it imperfect unless we think that we are more powerful than God is.
How likely is it that we the creation could be more powerful than the creator. I personally find this idea somewhat amusing, and a bit absurd.
Religion tells us that God is perfect. If this is true then it could hardly be logically for Gods creations to be considered to be anything less than perfect.
If this is the case then Nothing that we can ever do could possibly change this perfection that God willed, unless we were so powerful that our choices could override and change the will of God.
How likely is that????
Think about it.
The idea of sin is simple nonsense; a lie made up about God by religion.
Love and blessings

The point is "...the point where YOU THINK you can't take it anymore". Are you going to kill yourself over a wrong impression of what things are? There ALWAYS is a possibility to get worse. And there is always a possibility to get better. Fight for yourself.
BTW, I don't know about sin, but I do think that committing suicide is the stupidest thing to do.

Think about it: If you commit a sin, you know that you fully know and accept that you are committing something wrong. If your state of mind is that bad as to think about suicide, then you can't fully accept that you are committing a sin.
I believe that you have to trust that God will take care of the person who took their own life.

Yes, A person who asks for forgiveness for their sins is supposed to be truly sorry enough to turn away from that sin,and to do it no more, this type of repentance is called Godly sorrow. when one take their own life, It is believed, that they cannot truly repent, after the sinful deed has been committed. Yes, any type of murder is a sin.We are supposed to pray and trust in God, our Heavenly Father to take care of us in every situation that is too difficult for us. and wait patiently for Him to deliver us, Go worship Him, and praise Him as we wait, "faithfully," for His deliverance, (which is sure to come victoriously!), without grumbling, and complaining, we`re to pray asking God to help us bear the burden of someone else who may not know God as we do, this will also help get ones mind off their own troubles or trials, One Can make it by the grace and love of God, pray to find a good Holy Bible teaching Church, Where people practice what they teach, and abandon the sinful thought of suicide, your God given life is far too precious to destroy, or to let someone else destroy you`ll see. Remember, God gives life and multiplies, but the devil kills and subtracts from health, and life.

I assume since you are asking about sin, you must believe in good vs evil; Christianity; etc. If that is the case, you must also find a way to believe that faith can overcome any obstacle...it can. In the great words of Michael Stipe, "hold on". Listen to the song.....things will change. They always do. Have faith.

The most depressed people in the world are the ones who are focused on themselves and their situation. If you look around and try to be a blessing to those around you and to God, you'll soon feel better about your own situation. I have felt this way before, bombarded with bills, demands from various figures of authority, you can feel like a prisoner without the luxury of having your bills paid for you. Hang in there.

Suicide is a sin, but those who have put their faith in Christ and accepted His salvation still go to heaven. But consider this: I have been at a point in my life where all seemed hopeless, and suicide seemed like a good option. Then I began praying for direction. And then I began to put my trust in God as He directed me down His path. As I followed His path and trusted Him, I saw what it was to follow Him and to accept the salvation He offers to save me from my sins. I accepted His salvation and have been blessed. I am happier and my life is more stable, as I seek to do His will and to serve Him. It is when we are at our lowest that we see our need for God. He rescued me, and He can rescue you too. Trust Him and He will guide you.
