my brother shaved his beard today and he is only 11..i told him not 2 will this make his beard grow back thicker?

my mom freaked out when my lil bro stared to grow a mustache about 11-12...her hair dresser told her it was a myth and to let him boy did he ever need it that boy till the day he died had so much facial hair....hope he will not be like that....lol........

I was shaving by 11 as well. He's fine, and that's just an urban legend about it growing back thicker. It's just that when you shave, you cut through the naturally thicker middle of the whisker, so that when it grows out again, you're looking at the thick part of the whisker rather than the tapering point of an uncut hair. Why would you care if he has thick scruff anyway?
Besides, a clean-shaven 11-year-old looks a hell of a lot better than a 16-year-old with one of those creepy little wispy mustaches. Tell him congratulations.

If he has beard to begin with I think it will grow back a bit thicker. But it would take a few shaves to make it come back in black thick stubbles!

well he should have shaved it cuz my bro shaved his when he was 13 & he didnt ahve anything but the hairs grow back all right they just turn into ingrown hairs! & my bro said they hurt like hell! lol well yea so tell him not todo it again!

yeah whenever you shave it comes back thicker. the first time i shaved was when i was in sixth grade under my arms.

i shaved my legs when i was 16, big mistake! I should 've waxed or used an epilator instead
