Falling on your face doesn't mean you pray like a muslim. That could have been only a few times, for all we know. I have fallen on my face, to pray before, but it doesn't make me a muslim.

Abrahm and his son Ishmaeel constructed Ka'bah. Water of Zum Zum gushed form the heel of Ishameel when his mother Hajira was searching for water between the hills of Safa and Marwa. Abraham like Adam and Noah was a Muslim. Muhammad was a descendent of Abraham through Ishmaeel and hence a semite. Moses and Jesus were also Muslims and terms Judaism and Christianity did not exist at that time. The current Jews and Christians not only lost their true rleigion i.e. Islam but also name i.e. Muslim. They can come back to the path of the God by reverting to Islam. The Most Merciful, the Most Compasionate God has protected the last divine book i. e. Quran in its oirginal language. Quran is as fresh today as 1450 years back in its original langauge, a living miracel indeed.

Islam did not exist until centuries after Abraham died. Yes, Muslims pray by kneeling and bowing on their face while facing Mecca. But the fact that they kneel and touch their faces to the gound while praying does not make them Muslim.

The Islam religion recognizes Abraham in the Koran, same as we do in the old testament, the difference is Jesus and Mohamed. But Allah is God and God is Allah. That's the strange thing, we believe in the same God.

See the bible interpretted once again by man. The Oldest complete bible is the King James Bible, which is not hard at all to understand. This is what it should state.

Gen 17:3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,

Gen 17:4 As for me, behold, my covenant [is] with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations

You don't have to kneel to pray. You can do it standing up, on your back, or face down. So couldn't you say Muslims pray like Abraham being that he came first?

I was unaware that people thought only Muslims prayed in this manner.I'm a Christain and I have seen others pray this way , and have prayed in this manner myself . But its probably not the position we pray in that's so important , but rather the position we are in when we pray.

Actually, there are the fewest references to praying sanding, sitting, or kneeling in the bible. Praying prostrate is the most noted. We "sensible Christians" of modern times have it all wrong; me along with the rest of everyone else at church. If I were to kneel, or *gasp* prostrate myself in prayer, I would be looked at! How dare I worship fully and physically! Plus, we don't design our "stadiums" of worship in a manner conducive to kneeling or anything of that sort.
