All religions have a begining, a tenuous building period, a peek, and then an inevitable decline. People today make the mistake in believing that everyone else had it wrong and we are making up for it today by believing all the right things. The ancient egyptians were around for nearly 4000 years. I'm sure that after their first 2000 years they were safe in the knowlege that they were right and everyone else was wrong. Of course today we believe their beliefs to be, bizarre, excenteric, and down right silly. But the lived by it, they died by it, and they killed for it. Human kind will always carry on with this sort of recklessness until we all get together, kill god, and start believing in ourselves. Virtues aren't devine they are part of humanity as well as evil is a part of it not being simply temptation by the devil. There has always been a significant time in which all religions propegated due to word of mouth recalling a monumentous event. Certainly that will happen again. People will seen devinety in it and begin a doctrine of worship surrounding it. Eventually, the major religious of today will fall into disarray and new ones will be built. Man will start new wars with new civilizations about whos god is correct all looking back with the knowledge that the religions of today were all wrong. With a bit of luck mankind will one day notice this pattern and evolve enough to be able to live with the non-existence of a "god" and we can move on to the new and exciting prospects of the "new world order".

I'm sure there is some religions that are man made and will eventually send people to hell ,but the blood of Jesus Christ is real and everyone needs salvation, all you have to do is look around you an see the beauty of life itself an know that no man made this world ,although people are corrupting it ,read the King James Bible an when your done reading ask this question to yourself ,also a reminder that when people are near their death they tend to realize that there is a God and this type of question you ask will not even be considered at that point,I will pray you will see the light and know the truth ,the truth will set you free!!

Religion may be, but faith In the true living God is not the same thing, religion will get you in church, so you can show off your new clothes, or make people think you are living right. But faith in God isn`t going to church, singing a song, putting money in a dish, or being with friends. faith is getting up everyday, and having a supernatural relationship with a God that has everything under control, he loves you , you can count on him, you have day to day walk with him. he is bigger then anything this world can throw at us, and even if we die, so what, he is even in control of that, we knew we wouldn`t be here forever, we have a job to do, and thats to tell others about this God that can do anything. he is not a GOD that fails. Im with the winning team. YEAAAAAAAA

Stories, songs, communities, traditions, hope, warmth, belonging, reasons to live. I think religions live as a sociological organism, like tribes, states, companies and the scout movement. They give a lot to a lot of people. Religion's downside is it makes people think everyone else is wrong, which is a touch supremacistic.

I don't feel a presence with me when I see a black cat or walk under a ladder. I don't feel a Spirit that gives me chills when I step on a sidewalk crack. The belief in God is not a myth or superstition, it's a faith in our Creator - a witness to His power and presence.

Yes. Religion can not save you and that is how Satan is confusing people all the time. Time to revolt against him by accepting Jesus Christ. He is the only one that can save you from everlasting fire, and punishment.
