I have always felt that when a person is at a loss for words.. it is best to say NOTHING

I think this is your sub-concious saying - there is nothing I can say at the moment that will help or perhaps telling you just being present is enough. They say that communication is made up of 7% words, the rest is body language and who you are, so the words need to be just right or stay quiet!!

nothing. lol or i say "im at a loss for words :P" sometimes i might say something totally random to be silly but usually i just say nothing.

Offer sounds from other body parts ...like a fart or something like that. Usually find something to say after that. Like oops, or sorry, or see ya.

Well here is what I believe you should do when that happens.

It is better to let people believe that you don't know what you are talking about then to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
