I try and teach her how to braid and comb and wash and put ribbons. Hell i like when she brushes my hair---it is one of those rare relaxing things.

We sit and talk while she plays with my hair. Some great conversations come from these sessions. Mind you it's my granddaughter and she is only 3 but still in all.

Let them (unless of course, they are wanting to do it all day long). When I was a kid, I loved brushing and pretending to style my mom's and grandmother's hair. My grandmother has long-since passed on, but it is one of my special memories of her. It was a special treat to me and I knew instinctively that this was one of the ways she showed love and acceptance toward me.

I let my 7 year old brush my hair she tried to braid it but tied it in knots, my hairdresser laughed for days after I went in to get it cut.

I let him sometimes it hurts really bad but its funny because he goes let me kiss it and make it all better it is sweet.

my daughter loves playing with my hair, and i let her, cause i think that he will learn to do her own faster, plus maybe one day he'll go into hair business! think toward their future that what i did cause i know they pull it, but their learning..........

even though it hurts i let my daughter do it anytime she wants. i know that she will remember times like these the rest of her life.
