If it's something like the flu, there isn't really anything you can do, except for ease some of the symptoms. Flush your system out with plenty of water, drink some orange juice or something high in Vitamin C. That will build your immune system and help you fight the cold faster. If your congested in your head and chest, get you some sudafed and mucinex for the daytime, and some NyQuil or Tylenol cough/cold for night. Try to get as much rest as possible. I've heard that airborne and Zicam are pretty good products to shorten a colds running time, but I've never tried those before myself. P.S. If you decide to buy something that has sudafed in it, you have to be over the age of 18, so if your not, make sure you get a friend or a parent that can get it for you. I hope you feel better Soon.

Take the following: Zinc 100mg 2times a day, Echinacea 700mg 2 tablets 2 or 3 times a day (better with meals, less upseting to your stomach), Vitamin C 500mg 2times a day and vitamin E 400iu (international units) 2 times a day (you can get those in a combination pill so that its only one pill you have to swallow) I do this every time I feel a cold coming on, and it works every time! Zicam is also effective in helping, if you want to go that route. I talked to a homeopathic dr a few years ago and this is what she recommended for me to try to help since I was always getting sick. Ever since then, I take it every single time and my colds last 1/2 as long. Also, keep hydrated and get some rest, it helps too.

I had this problem the other night! Simply get a lot of vitamin C. I drank a few glasses of pure orange juice, and took a multivitamin. Was very fine the next day.

Wishing you well-health! :)

I don't believe in cold and flu tablets. All they do is mask the symptoms! Echinacea and vitamin c will help ur immune system.
