It's not hand operated, it's electric. It is my favorite though. It's my salad shooter, I usually just use it to shred cheese, does a great job. My dogs know the sound among all the other electrical appliances and come running. Cheese is their favorite food.

I detest chopping onions, yet I love onions in everything, so,my fav gadget is my electric onion chopper. It is hard to manage though, and a few days ago I saw a hand operated onion chopper, the likes I had never seen before.
I should have bought it when I saw it, because now I cannot remember where it was I saw it.
Life is sucky sometimes

I love kitchen gadgets! I have a micro plane that I love for getting citrus rine, I love my gizmo can opener,
I have a new cutter, I think it's called the vadalia onion chopper or something like that, all though I have never cut onions with it. I like chopping tomatoes with it and apples.

a blast from the past: a potato ricer it not only makes great stuffed or mashed potatoes but I also use it for taking the liquid out of cooked spinach
Another item is a professional quality mandoline - it saves me tons of work

I like my wire whip. I live alone and make my own meals. With my whisk I can make pancakes, omelets, souffles, puree's, sauces etc.
