I teach in an Illinois school, and notice that the students at the high school where I teach may still buy sodas out of the machines. If this is so, wouldn't my school be in trouble for allowing the sale of sodas if they are banned?

They are in violation. Sounds like they're banking on the government being too lazy to enforce the law.

Drink sales are a huge income to a school.

It's been proven that schools who sell only healthy drinks/foods do children have children that pay more attention in class. When a kid is suffering from Sugar highs and downs, Caffeine and Caffeine withdrawals all day long, it's no wonder every kid gets diagnosed with ADHD. or ADD.
