I believe many people have no spelling skills and don't know that poor spelling reflects self esteem. It seems the ones who don't care to spell correctly also don't care about a lot of other things. I just ignore it; I can barely control myself, but spelling has always been important to me and I wouldn't dream of typing incorrectly spelled words. There are tons of people who truly don't know how to spell. And many people who type answers obviously don't spend more than 10 seconds on each answer. There's a huge number of people who put little into their answers. They seem to just type a few words and that's their whole anwer. Nothing is that simple to me. I believe we should do everything the best we can.

It's generally laziness. It's easier to use shortcuts than to spend an extra 0.6 seconds to spell a word correctly than it is to write the word "cuz" instead of because (just as an example). I used to teach and found that very tough to get thru to my students the importance of not only proper spelling but proper grammar as well.

Why SHOULD we all have a perfect spelling? Sounds like you're caring more about grammar and spelling than about the content of the posts. If the posts are clear, then there's no need to complain about the structure.

I don't know if anyone noticed, but if you ask a question.
The question has a spell check. But in the details, it won't check it.
Kinda odd.

People are lazy. People are impatient.
To write everything completely correct would require too much of their effort and time.

Anyone?
I TRY! And I am not a native! If natives don't care, soon non-natives will be learning a dead language (at least in it's writing form).
