Are you suppose to give dogs Potassium Iodide pills in an emergency?

I live near a power plant and have been instructed in case of an emergency (ex. terrois attack) to take Potassium Iodide pills when the goverment insturctes us to. But what about my dog , would she take them too.

Potassium given orally to dog WILL KILL THEM!!!!

I'm assuming you live near a nuclear power plant? You must be pretty close...

I've never read anything about giving it to dogs.

What kind of emergency are we talking about???? A meltdown?? A Chernybol????? I would freakin' MOVE!!!!!!!
