ok i downloaded the fedora iso disk 1 and i burned it and i put the cd in to make sure it worked and all i got was a folder that said files currently on cd and it showed the iso image but isnt it supposed to just bring up a screen that says welcome to fedora or do i have to use the command promt idk someone help asap good info please
aand the iso is 655 mb

If you did not get an error message after burning the ISO file, then you are "good to go". Configure your computer for installing LINUX and get to it.

You need to burn it slightly differently. You need to burn it the same way you would a saved disk image (if you haven't done that, check the help on your burning software).

Once you do that, you should see all the different files in the cd (I hope you have all 5, or is it 6, disk images though, you will need them). Once everything is on CD, you can boot from the first one (put it in the CD drive, reboot, and hit F8 during the boot sequence, before you see the XP startup screen).

you may desire to un rar it, so get winrar or 7-zip. Extract the iso someplace the place you could remember it (computing device, perhaps) Then get carry of infraburn Open infraburn, decide on 'movements' and 'burn image', decide on the iso record, and hit burn
