Dang, I used to know all the Beatitudes by heart... hold on...
Ah yes, now I remember.
*ahem* Neither. Well, I like "blessed are the peacemakers" and "blessed are the merciful". I also like "it ain't cool to lie, cheat, steal and murder". But... all in all, I'll stick with my own conscience.

They both share the same principles. Use the Big 10 if you want specifics. Use the Beatitudes if you want to answer more modern circumstances with a Biblical solution.

Hmmm, never heard of the Beatitudes, so give me the 10 Commandments. Anything God ordered is good enough for me!!

The Beatitudes. They describe how you can make heaven, right now, right here on earth. No prayers, no waiting.
The Big Ten, on the other hand, is like placing a new toy within reach of a small child and telling him, "mustn't touch!" No wonder they don't work.

Why would you have to choose one?
Although, I do admit, I hold the Beatitudes pretty close to my heart.

My brain hurts. First off, there is an actual section for geography questions. Second, none of these are places, which means none of them are geography questions. Just write Jesus said so for every answer.
