Does God hate imagination? Does God hate fiction? That is what Harry Potter is.
Now, people who actually practice that in real life, yeah, God has a problem with that I'm sure. However, the Harry Potter books and movies are just FICTION!! Come on...if that is the case, why don't you hear more about other movies that are fiction?
Good Grief!!

God may not like magic, but I doubt that he hates it. He doesn't like murder or adultery either. Do all the people who wrote, acted in , and directed movies about murder and adultery go to hell. I doubt it. I don't know for sure because I am not the judge of all mankind. But if all of the people who were involved with the making of the movie go to hell, then don't all the people who watched it go to hell? That makes a pretty empty heaven. I could be wrong though. It's happened before.

God detests Black Magic and that of this world. If people practice it then they will be punished. Now it is not for us to judge, but to lead those away from the evil things God does not like.

So, I have no clue if the people who were involved in Harry Potter will go to hell or not - that is not up to me to say.

I am not God so I don't know. If they do, it won't be for being involved with Harry Potter though. But, I will say this, Harry Potter is not REAL magic. There is no such thing.

It's just a movie, goodness. It isn't real magic. I'm a Christian and even I know that. I love Harry Potter. I just think children who are too easily influenced shouldn't read it. It isn't fair to them. They might read Harry Potter and think they want to be just like those characters. Then they learn about the real thing, and grow up into that stuff. It would be too early for them to be able to choose for themselves which path they want to take.

that has nothing to do with what i think. judgement is the Lord's.

who says that God hates magic? did moses not use "magic" gifted from God to create the viper from his staff? did moses not use "magic" when he divided the waters of the sea, to allow God's chosen to pass without peril?

what God hates, is when somebody allows anything ANYTHING to become more important in their life, than God.

besides, as a christian, my children were quite shocked when i took them to see the harry potter movie, when the first one came out.

in my opinion, when harry uses his wand to levitate an object, it is no more sinister against God, than when luke skywalker uses the force to levitate his lightsaber.

i don't think so...it weird for people to go to hell,..for every little thing that is done to revolve around witch craft, or gay marriage and little things like that...
cuz if that how we were chose to go to heaven or hell then there wouldn't be much ppl up there.
It's more like how your personality is and...wat you did with your life...now if you were to like murder some then you would go to hell...
murder and a person who reads harry potter books should be classified in the same category...
it has to with more things than that

and this is coming from some one who dose go to Church..although other people may not agree with

would might be sin maybe..but that doesn't mean your going straight to hell..4 watch or reading a book..

it's just my opinion..hope this helps.. ^_^

You asked this before.

Ah, God doesn't hate Magic, the people who wrote the Bible did, because if Magic was allowed, Christians may choose to go back to being Pagan. =_=

No...it's not promoting witchcraft as a religion, it's merely entertainment. Anyone old enough to go to hell has major issues if they can't tell the difference between fact and fiction.
