Rubbing alcohol on a q-tip. You can find the rubbing alcohol in the pharmacy section of department stores where the bandaides are, cost about a dollar. You can buy one of those CD drive cleaner disk that is suppose to do the same, about $20 which work fine also.

GET ONE OF THOSE DVD LENS CLEANERS. THEY ARE A DISC WITH A LITTLE BRUSH ON THEM. SOME EVEN PLAYS MUSIC AS YOU CLEAN YOUR DVD LENS. THEY COST ABOUT $20 AT ANY "TECHNO" PLACE.

Take it to an experienced technician if you are having problems with it. Otherwise, it would be in your best interest to either leave it be, or it's just time to replace it.
