The answer depends entirely on what college you go to, and the type of housing you are living in. You should be able to find estimated expenses for whatever college you are interested in, on their website. The payment plan depends on how much you borrow.

You can pay anywhere from $0 to $30,000 per year. The cost is even higher if you go to premiere colleges and live in fraternity houses, etc.

Age is an important consideration. If you join the military you may be able to get in on one of the college tuition programs which will pay your way all the way through college including some of the basic living costs. A lot of people say that this is far better than graduating college with a huge debt to repay for the cost of your education. Ah yes, in all of those programs you must maintain good grades to stay in the program all the way to graduation.
So these are not rest homes for slackers.

It all depends on where you attend school. You can save money the first two years by attending a local community college, and applying for financial aid. Also there are various types of scholarships available. I recommend you meet with an academic advisor at the college of your choice. They will help you with your program of studies, financial aid, scholarship, and career information. Their services are free to prospective and current students. Housing is another consideration. Some students stay in dorms (especially if they attend college out of state), others prefer to share their living space with roommates. If you are eligible, work-study is a great program to give you a part-time job while at college, and it's hours flexible around your course schedule. An advisor can address all of these issues. Good luck.

That's an extremely general question. It all depends on if it's in-state or out of state tuition, room & board costs, and bigger cities often charge more. In state tution can be as low as a couple thousand bucks per semester while out of state can be over $10,000 for one semester. Do your research. Search for scholarships. There's no reason (if your grades are good enough) that you shouldn't be able to get some help paying for school.

If you're going in-state it might be around $5,000/semester (4years = 8 semesters) so $40,000.
For out-of-state it's more like $10,000/semester, so $80,000 for 4 years.

All that is just tuition. You should estimate between $200 - $500 each semester for books, and then you need to figure out whether you're living on campus or in an apartment. Basically you're looking at $50,000 in-state or $100,000 out-of-state. And it's even more if you're going to a private university.
