Alright, I have really long hair and I think the hair products I use are making it heavier than what it needs to be. I use Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner (have to use conditioner or else it would be difficult to brush) and then I put on heat protecting spray (sorry, not for sure the name) to protect my hair from the blow dryer.

So, what should I do? Because my hair looks greasy if I don't wash it everyday and blowdry it. The shampoo I use is for greasy hair but it doesn't seem to work. Thanks for the help!

Oh, and if it helps my hair is thick, long, and dark brown.

once a week use a clarifying shampoo, like Neutrogena (as it strips hair of it's natural oils, try not to use for everyday if you can help it) or Like Dove's new line of weightless products are great (free samples online from Dove), you can alternate with your faves and the new one...just don't clarify your hair everyday.

Hope this helps

Use a clarifying shampoo to remove buildup from your current products. Also, sometimes your hair gets used to the products you use if you use them too long, and they become less effective. You should alternate between products you like to keep your hair looking it's best!

I even have thick curly hair too... first i exploit frizz-ease, and thenn my widespread product to apply is Curls Rock, by Catwalk...Its in a blue bottle. you placed it on your hair while its moist an it comes out SO good. in case you put in alot it weighs your hair down, yet i attempt to no longer do this even with the undeniable fact that because of the fact i think of it looks greater appropriate with somewhat much less..yet surely attempt it!!

Too much products can weigh down hair, since your hair is already thick, look for products that stress light weight, and light coverage, but if your hair is becoming greasy... every other day, may be when you have to wash it.

Only put the product on the ends of your hair, try to stay away from the scalp where your natural oils come through first. I know you can buy greasless product as well.

At a time that you don't need to use product or go anywhere I would strip it. Use vinagar.

Also maybe try buying a clarifying shampoo. They also help to keep build up off your hair.

My friend has the same problem. She hasn't had any luck.

But my suggestion would be ot alliminate one of these things.

Try not using conditioner. See what happens.

Then if that doesn't help I would try not using the spray.

If that doesn't work I would try both of them together.

Also I wouldn't use a blowdryer it can damage your hair. Towel or air drying it is best.

Suave shampoo and conditioner works really well...n then instead of using hair grease use like a spray sheen it makes your hair like really light then blow dry it.The popular one for black, white, mexican, chinese, whatever your hair type/ race is would be "Bio Silk" by FAROUK SYSTEMS USA...expensive but really really works well!!! Leaves your hair light, shiny, n smell really nice!!!! TRY IT!!!

try to keep your hands off of your hair, especially when you blowdry it.
