I was telling my mom about Red Bull and she asked about the ingredients, and when she asked what Taurine is and what it does, I had no clue! any help?

taurine is a non essential amino acid found in high concentration in white blood cells and the heart muscle.taurine is helpfull for anxiety,brain function and hydrating the brain.
it is also known to impair vision and is known to increase the development of epilepsy,but has not been fully proven.

Taurine is usually from meat sources but there are synthetic forms of taurine as well. It's essential for vegetarian cats' diets. Apparently the taurine used in Red Bull is synthetic, so no need to get grossed out LOL And no.... like someone suggested it's not made from bull testicles LOL!

It's an amino acid. People can make all they need in their own bodies (cats cannot). Its only purpose in Red Bull is to sell the product. Unless, of course, you are buying it for your cat.

Red Bull taste nasty. Is that the taurine I taste? "Taurine (from Latin taurus = bull, as it was first isolated from ox (Bos taurus) bile" (wikipedia)

It was isolated from BILE!

All I know is its a supplement that cats need.... look at a bag of cat food. It's in there.......wait I just found that link below it tells you all about it!

Supposedly, it comes from Bull semen and gives you extra energy boost... I don't know if I believe the whole bull-semen bit.
