Seriously. If God really wants us to be "saved" why would he insist that we believe in a 2000+ year old book that has all kinds of inconsistencies written into it by the various preachers along the way. Even god would have trouble with the parts others put in.

Why not just come down - perform some miracles at the world cup final or something that can be seen from all angles, and by everyone watching, then have god's holy writings fall from the sky for week nonstop around the world. A miracle that could not be explained away.

After seeing the televised, recorded, nonstop weeklong miracle - if you reject god, I could understand people thiking your crazy. But right now. A 2000 year old book that says a wine swigging fella rose folks from the dead and walked on water - WEAK! You really think that's the message God wants us bowing down to and believing in?

Give this god ten days to show up and prove it exists or lose all the tax breaks and people pushing religion will be treated like anyone else perpetrating a fraud.

Even if God did come down and cause a miracle people would make some excuse on what happened and call him a fake. That's what happened when he sent his Son down here.

If lived back in the dark ages and you had a king and you never seen him and never heard his voice, would you doubt that he was real? What if he sent messengers and declare his will to you, would you still doubt that he was real? Probably.

God sends his messengers (The Prophets) to spread his word, to reveal his mind and will. When you die, and judgement day comes you will get your wish you will see God (the Great King) and know that he lives.

Or you can accept that it is possible that he does live and is waiting for the right time to show himself to his children. I think it takes more patients and faith to wait and see, then to give up and say he doesn't exist. But this is for you to decide.

God has revealed Himself to us, on numbers of occasions. The Bible has no inconsistencies. Everything in the Bible is the infallible, inerrant word of God, written by Holy men who were inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Even if God did perform the miracles that you just mentioned, you still wouldn't believe.

First of all GOD created us in HIS image, and gave us a free will to choose.
ADAM refused what the FATHER said and caused us to fall into sin.

HIS presence on this earth was in the form of his son JESUS who did make "miracles" but it was just that he only knew what his father had taught him, because he knew no sin.

Not everyone who wrote the bible were preachers or even smart men, thier inspiration to write it came from GOD.

He was not a wine swigging fella , he simply turned water to wine with a touch of his finger because he was asked to do so by his virgin mother at a wedding.

Would'nt you?

First off, the Bible is inerrant in doctrine, ethics and history. The New Testament was written, through the inspiration of God, by Matthew (eyewitness to the events), Mark, Luke (considered by scholars as one of the great historians of all time), John (eyewitness to the events), Paul (a pharisee who had a personal encounter with Christ), Peter, James (Christs half-brother) and Jude (Christ's half-brother). These were not "various" preachers.
Secondly, lets see what miracles God could do, He could create a world perfectly suited for life and a universe perfectly balanced and design for life on earth, hmm, oh yeah, already did that, well, He could create intricately designed beings, from the smallest bacteria to the largest of beasts, perfectly designed for their purpose and survival, hmm oh yeah, already did that one too, well. He could take the form of man, be born of a virgin, perform miracles to show who He is, die on a cross and rise on the third day, something those who opposed Him at the time could dispute or refute. The grave was empty, the body gone. Then, He could appear afterward to over 500 people. Yep, did that too.
You see, your problem isn't lack of evidence, it is that you refuse to see the evidence. God could come down right now and stand before you, and you would still refuse to believe. Your problem isn't a weak intellect or lack of proof, it is your cold heart and dead spirit. You simply refuse to bend the knee to Christ.

He did those kinds of things before and it never made any difference. People still have the freedom to choose, and God's not going to force you to believe anything you don't want to believe. Seriously, if you really wanted to believe, you'd find all the evidence you need in that book you don't like.

a non-stop forever is a long time, you have the right to believe as you do its your forever. i would never ask God to perform a foolish task just so you can mock him, and be careful if you ever do that. its your choice and i believe you made it and you will face God one day and you will answer all in your life. this is not make believe or a fairy tale. this is real. just remember this God did also create you. and if you continue this non belief you have, he will keep to His word and you will feel His wrath.
