Could not agree more with what Talented Mrs V said.
Do as she suggested and it will calm down quick, but make sure you spend a lot of time with it as well, You are now its care giver, and protector.

Puppies do sleep a lot, but they generally have a good amount of energy when awake. If she's sluggish most the day, she may not be getting the right nutrients...make sure you're feeding her good quality puppy food (large breed if she's a large breed), in measured amounts (check the container for the amount) divided over 2-3 meals per day. As far as being afraid of the dark, she might just miss mom. You could put a wind-up clock near her (simulates a heart-beat), or a soundspa set to heartbeat, leave a light or tv on...the noise from the tv will help, and crate her at night (helps her feel more secure). If you have a shirt you can spare, it may help to put that in with her (nothing with buttons, etc) as smelling you on the item will comfort her.

Yes. Absolutely. I have a 9 week old puppy and all he does is sleep. He'll get little bursts of energy (5 minutes) and then plop down and sleep for hours.. My other dog (3 years old) did that in his younger days too. Also, being scared of the dark is completely normal. Ernie (my pup) will wake up and just start barking and whining in the night, although he doesn't do this when he wakes up and it's light out... so we just gently hold him and pet him and he'll go back to sleep..

absolutely, especially if its a large breed dog. did you get your dog from a mall or from a breeder, cause mall dogs are caged all the time and all they are used to in the first few weeks is sleeping with the lights on.

Sure, she's just a baby and hasn't been away from her mother or her siblings for long. She'll outgrow it.
