Go to a local drugstore and there is something like a nail polish that you put on your nails and when you go to bite them it is horrible tasting. Or try getting acrylic nails........tough to bite threw those. I used to bite my nails but when ever I would put nail polish on them I wouldn't bite them. It messed up how nice they looked. When they started to grow out........they looked so nice.

I have done this before; every time i bite my nails i take away a dollar and put it in a "nail jar". At the end of the week if my parents see the jar with more than 5 dollars they take the money and put it away for me to use later, hence the fact i cant use it until i stop biting my fingers at all.

Since I cant afford to have my nails done all the time I use Boradway Nails, found at Walmart or such like. They stay on even while washing dishes and doing everyday chores.
Grant it while I may nibble I rarely bit anymore, and when I haven bitten and chewed the pain is terrible.
Basically you arent gonna want to rip off something glued to your nail bed.

Get acrylic nails put on - you won't bite them and if you do it will be an aweful experience. Keep the nails on for a while and before you know it you will be out of the habit of biting your nails.

particularly than biting your nails right down to nubs, initiate rubbing them or hit upon a clean somewhat much less stressful habit like choosing on the tops of your nails. not in user-friendly terms does it save the dimensions of them down yet now you have stopped biting your nails!

You can buy this stuff that tastes really bad -- you paint it on your nails so you don't want to bite them. After a while the habit goes away.

Everything they tell you will work...but there is a slight problem. You will find another disagreeable habit as me (I can't stop pulling my hair)
To avoid that, get a psychotherapy too. They will find the roots of your nail-biting habit, probably a sensation of lack or anxiety, and knowing it you are supposed to eliminate it with techniques they will teach you.

I admit to doing it as well, and I have for as long as I can remember. I know some people who've tried to quit. They wore gloves, like winter gloves or batting gloves 24/7, it can work if you're committed. Best of Luck.
