How come
USA hot dogs are delicious
French coffee is great
Italian ice cream is lovely
Belgian chocolate is so moorish
while the British equivalents taste like shite?

British food tends to be very bland in taste I have found, IMO. I went to London and have experienced this.

Let's face it
British is best known for "pub grub"
roast beef with yorkshire pudding,
steak and kidney pie,
shepherds pie,
cheddar cheese,
and greasy, but often tasty "fish n' chips"...
US hotdogs are delicious, but come from a german recipe....
If you think french coffee is great wait till you taste spanish coffee!... Smoother and a bit less bitter to the taste.
Italian ice cream is incredible ( I remember a rose petal gelato in Florence one summer... mmmmmmm!!!!)
I agree, Belgian chocolates are the superlative chocolate lovers dream!...But the french & swiss are almost as good.
And in milk chocolates some of the british aren't half bad!
The french cuisine is fantastic...rich but great,
the best fried fish is in Spain
the pasta in Italy exquisite...
But don't forget...the brits invented the Sandwich!!

Yes & I was born in England....however the English do have some fabulous dishes.Have you ever had a real English trifle?. Each country has dishes that they excel at.. ie Viennese pastries, jamaican curried goat with rice & peas, Veal schnitzel in Germany . Hugarian goulash........Take the best from every cuisine..Now that`s living

the Mexican food we get here in the states is American Mexican the Chinese food is Chinese American all the foods taste different here n America compared to if u really traveled to the country of their orgin like Italy never in your dreams have u tasted such delicious foods but that same dish does not have the authenticity if u would purchase it here in Chicago etc.

I've found that when I'm out of the country things that are awesome here taste different else where. i think it's processing regulations vary from country to country

There is nothing wrong with English food! You can't beat a decent roast dinner or fish & chips! English food is great!
