I really don't know. I do believe in heaven and hell. I believe that if people know about Jesus and refuse him, they will be "sentenced" to hell, but I haven't really thought about people who don't know him. What I think is that it's our responsibility as followers of Christ, to share or love with others. If that means we have to leave family and friends to help others then we should. That is my opinion.

There are Christian missionaries in almost every nation around the world - including the US. Almost everyone has had the opportunity to be exposed to the teachings of Jesus or to seek the Lord on their own accord (based on something they heard or saw - perhaps in the media). John 3:16 of course says those who believe will have eternal life. There are many places who say those who believe and are good will have eternal life (Matthew 7:21, John 5:29).

Do you believe that an all loving and all knowing God wouldn't have a plan for those who were born into this world, lived and died without having a knowledge of him. I don't think that God is at all stupid enough to figure in those who didn't hear of him in mortality.
After someone dies they go to one of two places, Paradise, or prison both are in the spirit world. Those who died having a knowledge of Christ (according to LDS doctrine) and have been baptised in HIS church, will go to paradise. Those who did not accept the Gospel or didn't hear of the Gospel will go to Prison. There people will teach them of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and if they accept then they are saved. Now here is where people get mad at us for baptism for the dead. We believe that if we baptise in proxy of the dead once they hear of the Gospel and if they accept they will be saved, but if they don't and chose to continue to believe as they did then the baptism as no power, it will be has if it hadn't been done at all. This is all according to LDS doctrine, I hope that it helps.

well, many people say that Christianity is a sad religion for they would have to leave the loved ones behind if you only believed. However, i disagree, if you love someone then you would convert them to know the Lord and eventually be saved. Thats why we have missionaries
Remember, the Lord can forgive any sin. of any level. Now is ignorance of them?

very nice question and i can give you the textbook answer from church. "those who do not accept Christ as their saviour are doomed to an eternity of hell.
that said: st john said in revelations, that every knee shall bow and every mouth shall confess that Christ is Lord.
does that mean that for those who know OF God, but refuse to accept Him into ther life can recieve salvation? i personally hope so.
now, about those that never know of God or Christ, you have to understand that God has strict laws, but He is also fair. He will take care of those that cannot fathom the existence of God, such as the child and the mentally deficient.
i personally believe that those who do not know of God and Christ will be given the chance to accept them, at the time of their mortal death.

First thing first, God when HE judges takes into account where someone was born. there life, and God judges according to what someone knows, there will be folks that never had a bible but obeyed what they new was right, because God gave them A mind that told them right from wrong, "For God "SO" LOVED them that He gave [and Jesus the second member of the Godhead] Gave Himself that they shall not die" don't you think God can deside if its okay for them to be there, but that is NOT your problem, "IF" you love me keep my commandments if YOU do not love Him enough to obey His commandments then you won't be there to worry about who is there or not, and God ate with sinners, remember Hate the sin, but LOVE the sinner, free bible lessons www.itiswritten.com God bless

There is a passage of scripture which says that every man will know God, and no longer will we have to explain who is God. I do not think we live in a world any more where we have people who do not know God.
One thing for sure, God will be their judge, not me, not you. And THAT is probably a good thing, eh?

you can believe in the God of Abraham, Moses, jesus, Muhammad etc. without ever hearing of the religions. This is because this God is one, and you can believe that there is 1 God who created everything. However you cannot believe in man made things like the trinity without being told of it.

I don't believe thatJesus will come back until everyone has had a chance to hear the word. I believe that it says something like that in the Bible too you'll have to look for yourself but I'm pretty sure it does.

Was it neglectful of God to leave the souls of the heathen in the hands of confused Christians?
Consider that maybe God appreciates diversity.
