My mom's boyfriend Herb says I should join the Army so they can 'Make a Man Out of Me'???

He says I am a loser because I spend all day in the basement playing video games and drinking cheap booze.

I'm 39 years old and don't need to be told what to do by some jerk with a toupee.

Sorry...sorry....got to control my anger....how do I tell this bully that I am perfectly happy with my part time job at IHOP???

Please stop making fun of me because I am thrifty and prefer cheaper liqours.

Wait until you are 40 to exact your revenge. No sense in missing time playing good games while dealing with a jerk. Part time at IHOP, man dude, you just push yourself to hard. I had to scale back to a weekend only paper route. Overachievers like you blow the curve for the rest of us.

He may a jerk with a toupee but the boyfriend has a point although the Army is not the answer. I don't know what you do at IHOP but you should look into their management program. You should be supporting yourself. You should be self-sufficient. The boyfriend sounds a bit uneducated and rough around the edges, but he's trying in his inept way to tell you to stand on your own two feet, and he's right. If your mother were to ask me I'd tell her to evict you. Growing up is harder for some than for others but growing older happens to us all. Stop taking advantage of your mother's generosity and/or weakness and/or enabling and make a man out of yourself.

Note to "mia2Kl2002": You don't know that the boyfriend lives there and if he does it's the mother's place and she can have anyone there she wishes. Don't need your approval.

That is about the biggest line of B.S I have ever heard on this site. My guess is that you are 19, playing video games in the basement, drinking alot of Pepsi, and not listening to your mother. I would say send your butt off to military school, but depending on the financial situation, perhaps the Army.

Men don't join the army to give up personal responsibility and accountability while handing their bodies and minds over to be used as equipment in wars. Real men try to stop stupid men from going to war. Ask him where the WMDs in Iraq are, and ask him if real men commit war crimes because they were 'given the orders'. Real men don't take orders. They stand on their own two feet and make their own decisions.

What he wants is some privacy so he can nail your mom in any room of the house whenever he wants. And if he's lucky, you get your @$$ blown up, or your hair blown off like he did.

Go get a better job, so you can get your own place and get a girlfriend. Not because Mr, Toupee says so, but because life is worth living well. Might as well be dead, playing video games.

Firstly who is paying the bills in the house? u or ur mum. At age of 39 u should be taking care of ur parent(s), not wasting ur parent(s) hard earned money.
