He is within the Pakistani border because that area is controlled by warlords, not the Pakistani government. Even the Pakistanis are afraid to go in there, and they won't allow us to go either. Since the warlords support Bin Laden and the Pakistanis are cowards he has a nice spot to hide, between fear and political bullshit.
As for the morons who think the war is for oil then maybe if you quit pumping ******* gas into your car the war would end. Too bad the towers were destroyed just to start a war for oil...too bad you idiots weren't in them when they were.
Also, Bin Laden wouldn't be alive today if Bill Clinton had the balls to give the CIA the "green light" to pull the trigger. They had his *** zeroed in and just needed the political okay to finish the job. I guess that's what happens when you vote in a draft dodging coward into office. Hooray Democrats...you ****** us again and still find ways to blame some one else for your lack of action when it could have made a difference. You can also thank him for Somalia too...19 soldiers dead = release all captured enemy leaders and leave the country to cover his own ***.

There is no country like northern Pakistan a real no mans land no law just tribes all of which are loyal to the jihadist cause it just doesn't get any better than that as far as hiding spots go. It's in Pakistan so our troops can't go in there and Pakistani troops can't go in there without starting a civil war so osama is safe as snug as bug in a rug.
