I'm afraid to answer this in light of all the answers here. One, you're only 14. The need will wane as you get past your teenage years, and you'll be less distracted by it and more interested in spiritual pursuits. Respect the fact that the ancient Hebrews did not consider a person an "adult" until they were about 30. While your church may frown upon imprudence, there are a lot worse things you could be doing that have greater consequences. The best thing you could do is some study outside of the Bible about your natural processes and growing up. I'm not sure of any scripture that outright "condemns" masturbation, as opposed to promiscuity, drugs (drunkards) and other habits that will indeed follow you later in life. The real issue regarding masturbation is being overly interested in sex outside of it's natural place. I wouldn't worry so much at your age, but if you are getting older and find the drive to be more of a vice, then you should consider some help.

i dont have an answer for this but i can tell u that the Holy Spirit lives inside u and thats a sin to do it
i was born again 3 weeks ago and i have the same problem, so if i say anything wrong about u i am talking like a hypocrate... and God will take u through hard times just believe that it is to meke u stronger.one advice is " THE MAIN BATTLE IS IN THE BRAIN" if u believe that u will not do it will not
and if u are BORN AGAIN THEN BE BAPTISED ....because it is gods will that u be baptised

look kid, i'm not a christian but my religion also believes that masturbation and watching porn is a sin. All you have to do is to think deeply about how horrible hell would be and how much torture you will receive there. So, Just ask god for his forgiveness and help daily and get rid of anything that may lead you into performing this horrible sin. Good Luck.

I think that the real sin here is the fact that you feel guilty about it. I think that this is perfectly normal and you should stop feeling guilty. No one is perfect, and I think that you are making a better choice than if you were having premarital sex. These are natural feelings and urges and you should just calm down and accept that you are a maturing young man.. No one including God expects you to be a saint. Its ok!

Wow, a fourteen year old boy that has sexual tendancies. You deviant! Just kidding, what you are experiencing is normal. The Bible is silent on the masturbation and it's much better than going out there and sticking it to anybody. There are a lot of scary things out there, sometimes the hand is better. Not as much fun... but safer.

Dude, I dont think born again christians send you to hell for masturbating-that's catholics. In fact, I believe all you have to do if you are born again, is pray to Jesus, ask for forgiveness and everything's ok. See, he died so you could pleasure yourself and not go to hell for it.
God gave you a penis and a sexual drive, then played a dirty trick on you by also giving you born again Christians who in turn, gave you guilt about your own body that He created.
It *is* normal for you to get boners if you look at porn or naked people and it *is* normal to pleasure yourself. I dont think its normal to feel bad about it unless you are hurting someone else with your actions...such as looking at illegal porn like kids, or dogs and people. Try to keep it to once a day for starters, like before bed to put you to sleep. Then try to only do it once a week, once every two weeks, then taper down to special occasions.
