Fundamentalists think homosexuals are evil bad guys who will burn for eternity in hell, unless they accept J.C. and the boys. They don't want gay people to be allowed to have the same rights as we do. for example they think gays should not be allowed to:

G et married
O wn property
D rink from our water fountains

I nherit the estate of their lovers when they die
S ay that they are gay, without being subject to slander

D rive on our roads
E at at our restaurants
A ccess our internets
D ive into our swimming pools

Well should they?

I'm pretty sure that the other teacher in my dept. is a lesbian, but you know what? She's discreet about it, she's an awesome teacher who cares about her students and the school and does a tremendous job. She is the head of one of the clubs in the school that has the biggest membership, does fundraisers and donates most of the money that club earns to needy families of students (and other teachers!) in the school, works hard with the local animal shelter to take care in strays, and in general is a good person.

On the other hand, we have a teacher in a different dept. who is a total control freak, bullies the students and belittles them, is totally unfair with his grading procedures and other than being the asst. coach of the football team, hasn't done much of anything for the school or community, and he's straight. Now, which one do you want teaching your children?

This is crazy, and although some sexual education in the puberty age may be beneficial, I think they are going overboard because especially little kids do not need to know about sex or homosexuality. I just got a fundraiser petition from a catholic charity that marked the letter "do not open in the presence of children" and inside they provided excerpts from what Planned Parenthood apparently teaches little children at school, and that included how to have sex. I am still stunned over it because why in the Earth an 8-year-old should know how to have sex??? I guess some of them are trying that "new thing" and that's why we have so high teen pregnancy rates in the country. Maybe we should slightly back off a little, do some education as the kids enter puberty, but why would we teach them how to have sex with details??? I suddenly feel like I am 200 years old...

I don't care if homosexuals teach in schools. They already do. So do persons of every faith, ethnicity, and life style choice. The question is not who teaches, but what is taught.

I care if anyone, homosexual or not, advocates homosexuality in the classroom. The same way I care if anyone advocates polygamy in the class, or a certain religion, or unsafe driving. As a parent, it's my call regarding what's appropriate for my children, not the teacher's, and definitely not the "political correctness" of the day.

I also disagree with the desire to include disclosure that a historic person is a homosexual in school books, when their sexual orientation is immaterial to their accomplishments. Or the inclusion of a minor historic character into history books simply because they are homosexual. This serve no purpose except to advocate homosexuality. Good history records accomplishments, not politically correct notations.

You've got it wrong, sir.
Even most fundamentalists only want homosexuals not to get married.
I and any other true Christians do not dislike homosexuals as people, we are against ACTS of homosexuality, which may even be done by heterosexuals, by the way.
Homosexuals should be allowed to teach as long as they don't teach homosexuality.

why such hatred against people who have a different view than you...does that make you any better...i am a Christian i am against same sex marriage...but i am for same sex unions with equal rights as marriage...i don't think people should change the definitions of words just because they feel like it...again why do you have so much hatred...i wouldn't want my child to be taught by a homosexual for the fact the homosexuals at school has a higher percentage to become a pedophile...wouldn't want to expose my child to that....private school all the way...besides...don't i have the right to choose what kind of teachers i want to teach my children and influence them in life...if you say no...then you are as narrow mind as you claim other to be...

Yes. I personally had a great teacher and some years later, she ended up with a woman instead of her husband. She was one of my very favorite teachers and I love her for how she treated me and her kindness and her teaching methods.
When I decided to be a teacher, I did my student teaching and observed a man who everyone presumed to be gay and he probably was. His class was one of the most interesting I ever observed.
So why not? There are good teachers of all kinds. Not every straight person is perfect.
My religion is totally against gays but I still like the person and it is not right for me to judge them.

That website you listed is totally unacceptable!!!

Yes, they should.

I am Christian and I say this.

I also think gay people can marry, serve as clergy, have children (many already do from previous marriages), and basically do everything a straight person does.

Homosexuality, after all, is NOT a mental disorder.

Oh dear what the heck is the world coming to- I am a Christian, and I do not believe in that. I know plenty of people who are homosexual. I think they should be allowed to teach our children as long as they are not telling our kids that they should become homo's. God is not dead, the people who are too deep in their "Christian" religion are blind, I am a Christian who isn't that blind, God never said that Homo's are condemnd!!!

The bible teaches they live in sin. God distroyed citys for this reason. If God wanted man to mate with man , God would not have made Eave. God would have mad Adam and Fred and made so they could have children. No gay people should have no rights.

Yes, just because someone is homosexual, doesn't mean they are any less of a person. They are not going to turn other people homosexual, because it is something you are born with. By hacing them teach, it will show students that everyone should be treated equally and help them not to be homophobic.
