We have already tried white spirit and that has faded it and got rid of some of the smaller drops, but most of it is still there, and we worked on it for like an hour. Its really bad. lol. HELP!!!!!!!!!

If you have remnants of the carpet.... cut the spot away with a utility knife, stick some duct tape or heavy duty tape sticky side up under the carpet over the hole, and then cut a piece from the remnant using the piece you cut out, and stick it down. Fluff the nap to hide the seams. Then put a plant or chair over it if you can.

I spilt paint once on a teal color of deep plush carpet. The paint was a pale rose in color. There was alot of paint of that floor. You can get vinegar and dab it. Don't rub it at all. You press on the rag and sop it up little by little. If you rub it the carpet will wear. Don't use any chemical at all. Don't panic and more than you already have. Devote your time on being consistent until you get it all out. It shouldn't take that long really. Use one part vinegar and two parts water. It is safe but I'm not too crazy about the scent though. Good luck. It will be okay.

Anything that will really remove the paint will also remove the color from your carpet. You can keep trying the paint thinner, but it will discolor the carpet. Have you tried a throw rug over the top of the paint?

Next time carefully cover the carpet with plastic and never get light colored carpet.

Test for color fastness of carpet.
Try sprinkle with WHITE vinager and keep blotting until it comes up.
You can also try ZOUT in the laundry aisle it takes most everything out! ( even set in baby formula) again you have to keep blotting with clean dry cloths until the stain comes out.

If that doesn't work, you can try a WEAK bleach solution IF your carpet wont fade. I have used Clorox-Clean up on Berber carpet and it worked GREAT, color did not fade ( Powder Blue carpet- red lipstick!) But MAKE SURE first, try a hidden corner and if the color comes off...you know .
I wouldn't wait for it to dry then try chipping it out, then you would still have the color stain.
Good luck!

If you have household insurance they will arrange with a specialist to come and cut out the bad section and insert a similar piece. If that is an impossibility they will replace the entire carpet.

you can buy a gadget called Steam Devil I think it may be the answer. it comes with various heads and a hose. I think the paint would just peel off. alternatively contact your home insurance company they will either send a contractor or replace the carpet if you have accident cover.

well, you might have done alot of damage by rubbing it in, rather than getting it wet and dabbing it out. I would try goo- gone. No guarantee but it might work, other than that you can use lacker thinner but that may remove some of the color from your carpet.
