They tell me it is nothing but a glorified Toyota and give me the speech about how Mercedes is really Chrysler and Jaguar is Ford, etc... I believe it is just jealousy, as I have led a good Christian-Republican life and have been blessed to have my share of spoils.

First I rather doubt that people are jealous about you driving a Lexus. They arent all that expensive and they as for quality they are about a 3 on a scale of 1 to 10. They lack power and dont even look expensive. Now if you were driving a Bugatti Veyron 16.4 at a sticker price of 1,192,057.00 or a Pagani Zonda Roadster with a price tag of 667,000.00 or an SSC Ulitimate Aero or LeBlanc Mirabeau or a Saleen S7 Twin Turbo or Venturi Fetish or Mercedes SLR McLaren or a Maybach 62 or one of my favorites Porche Carrera GT but a Lexus nah. Why do you think so many people are trying to sell them in the classifieds??? Because they are lemons thats why. Its not jealousy people feel its pity. How you can say you are Christian-Republican if christians arent supposed to concern themselves with riches and republicans only concern themselves with money.
Sorry but Lexus' dont impress.

Well they're kind of right. Lexus is the cheap luxury car. Just like the Chrysler 300 is the poor man's Bentley. I'd rather prefer the Mercedes.

*sighs*. People SHOULD be allowed the finer things in life, if that's what you so choose, HOWEVER, it's the "Christian" part of your comment that has even ME scoffing at you. This is what I NEVER understood about the so called "Christian" faith. WHY do you NEED big, elaborate, expensive churches? Why do you NEED to go to church in a 3 piece Armani suit? Why do you NEED to drive a Lexus? Me personally, I don't think Jesus would be out galavanting in a Lexus, wearing a 3 peice suit with a blue tooth stuck to his head, and going into an elaborate, expensive cathedral. I just don't see it. *shrugs*. The Christians say we were created in "God's image", yet they all always try to "one up" each other, and then turn their noses up at the less fortunate. Well, why don't those "Christians" try BEING less fortunate for once. Maybe then they can TRULY relate and show some COMPASSION. To me, when they try to help the less fortunate, I think they only do it to feel better about themselves and to exalt themselves. Sounds like you need a piece of humble pie my friend.
I personally don't care WHAT you drive. Me personally though, I'd be happy to have the Flintstones car, if I had to drive it with my feet. At least I hope you're grateful for what you have and thank your "God" everyday that he has blessed you with such things. See, I used to be homeless, (and I STILL don't have a car). After getting out of the situation though, it changed my perspective on things. You wanna call yourself a "Christian", well don't you think the extra money you spent on your Lexus instead of a Toyota, could have been used to tithe with? Or give to the church? Or fund education? Or help the homeless? You know, GREED is one of the 7 deadly sins too. Too many people these days think about what they WANT instead of what they NEED. I myself really started thinking about that after I got out of being homeless. I live by necessity only now. I don't NEED 6 pillows on my bed when I KNOW there's someone who's laying their head on the concrete tonight. Ya know what I'm sayin? I don't NEED a gas guzzling car that's bad for the environment and destroys our natural resources (sorry, I'm a biology major and yes, we are RUINING our environment) You know what I do? I ride a BIKE. I may look like a "hippie bum" but you know what? I'm HAPPY with that. I wasn't put on this earth to flaunt what I have or to impress others. I was put here to serve a purpose. I think more of us need to remember that. Find your purpose, and may you be blessed. Let me tell you though, the greatest blessings are the ones you feel in your heart, not your pocketbook.

look i feel the same wayas those people that scoff at youbut for different reasons. i am a catholic republican excavating contractor in maine. i work alot and my friends call me cheapbut i am the only one of my friends that has any money. i dont see the purpose in spending twice the money to buy a toyota with leather, granted really nice leather, seats. i personally have a small fleet of pickups and mine is the mewest nd nicest but it is very purposeful. i just dont like spending extra money. the lexus is a very nice car by the way and your scoffers are for the most part jealous but some are like me they just cant see spending double the money for a very similar car. and i never have owned a car and i most likely never will but if i do it will be a vette .

If your mom and dad just bought it for you then people are going to call you spoiled and scoff. I love Toyotas personally and know they are dependable and wonderful, I just couldn't afford a Lexus. If you decided to buy this Lexus for your self and you have worked hard to afford and maintain it on your own than those people are mistaken. If this isn't the case, expect the static from others.

I don't know. Are you driving all over the place, are you making faces as you drive?
I am sure it is not about the Lexus, unless with the ego you have,
you go to the trailer parks, ghettos, or around the poorest area just to show your car off.
Where I live (my state) many, many people have Lexus.

1.SO WHAT IS THE POINT YOU ARE TRYING TO SAY?

2.WOULD YOU LIKE TO TELL US HOW MUCH YOU
MAKE A YEAR?
3.HOW MUCH YOU REPORT TO THE I.R.S.

Hey don't be so pious please. Yes you deserve your Lexus and should thank God everyday that you have been given the opp to drive one. But understand the view from those who have never had anything in their lives go right. your car is to them what the jungle is to a zoo animal. Something they have always dreamed of, but will more than likely never achieve....Make sure you really do "share" those spoils, btw, you don't want to be the rich man trying to get through the eye of a needle!!

And infiniti is nissan and acura is honda. but to be honest chrysler is a mercedes not the reverse. daimler is the parent company of chrysler. Sell the lexus and get a kia and save our environment.
