I am wondering how can people that don't have a right to be in this country can get jobs ( and have no social security numbers), but me a convicted felon with a pettycharge gets turned away from jobs that I am qualified for everyday. I don't want to play the role of "THE ANGRY BLACK MAN", because I'm not but my ancestors help build this country and I feel like we should have rights to jobs before illegal immigrants, regardless of criminal records(excluding vilont crimes and thefts). Am I wrong for felling this way?

Nope. You're right in what you are saying.

The illegal immigrants are cheap unreported labor, so the employers don't have to pay taxes on it. If they employ you, they'll have to pay you at least minimum wage instead of paying the illegal immigrant $3/hour or whatever they pay.

Money talks, my friend.

Illegal aliens can be given **** jobs and treated like slaves because being illegal chances are they wont complain or at least not too much. You on the other hand have broken the law and therefore can never be trusted. Never mind you paid your debt. When will people learn that EVERYTHING in the US is a felony. But you are correct you should have the rights to these jobs and I think that maybe you should become a whistle blower. Stop letting people be blind to the state of their own citizens before you let a coward who has run from their countryand their responsibilities take our homes and jobs

Listen, BLACK or white, a convited felon is a convicted felon. You did the crime, and now you want it easy. did you think about it before commiting the crime. I have nothing against you, but to company yourself to a person from another country, I think not. Most people who come from other countries (I don't say they don't commit crimes) they come to WORK. When your fellow americans, when they showed up in north america, did they show their SSN or visa or passaport to the native americans. here is the answer NO!!! Your ancestors build this country, nor did columbos discover this country, guess what there was people already here, they did not need to be discovered. So get a cup of JOE and wake up. I have nothing against folks like you or criminals for that matter, You are an illegal, the white folks are illegal, the native americans offered the immigrants food, in returned the illegal immigrants KILLED THEM.

Wassup_people is a JACKASS! I believe he has it all wrong when he says majority of black people aren't hardworking. That's simply not true. The majority of black people ARE hardworking. I would like to see his ancestors go through 1/2 the crap mine did and still come out on top! The fact that he would put such statements on here is just appalling. But the resiliency of my people is VERY strong. We've been through worse. Wassup's comments only add to all the negative things that are said about black people. It's okay though. Just goes to show you we are STRONG. There are members of the black race that do stupid things and are lazy (as with any other race) and that makes black people look bad. This ignorant jerk wants to take the negative members of my race and apply their actions to the entire race. He knows nothing about black people, only the stereotypes he has heard and the edited television he has seen. I agree that ex-cons should be given the chance to work before an illegal. I believe people can change! Wassup_people, people like you make the black race STRONGER!! Thank you very much!!

Are you actually trying to de-emphasize your illegal crime that garnered you a felony conviction against an illegal immigrant? Yours is a moot point. If you are well-versed in the law as any person convicted of a felony should be because it is your life at stake, you'll know what a "moot point" is. You don't sound like "The Angry Black Man" so much as you do the ignorant felon with his felony.

You have gotten some good answers so far ...and alot of answers that sucks!! I see your point....no illegal alien should receive a job over an American citizen. The people who are hiring these illegals are just out right greedy!! I suggest you start turning these companies in....and maybe start going down to the day labor sights, give those illegals some competition !!

How can you be a felon for a minor offence? Well, I don't mean to sound rude, but I'm sure you can also get hired for the jobs that the illegals get hired for, for the same pay... Not that I'm saying you should... If you paid your debt to society, then you should be allowed to work in jobs you are qualified for.

LOL This is interesting...in my opinion, and keep in mind this is strictly opinion, an illegal alien does the wrong thing and gets a job paid under the table...an ex-con does the right thing and tries to get work in an 'honest' fashion.

Do you get where I am going here? I'm almost inclined to trust an ex-con over an immigrant.

I've had bulimia, depression and anxiety but i take pills for them now, it can get like that if not treated properly. If you're in a teen state of mind then it's normal but you should consider seeing someone anyways Most teens that expierence it will grow out of it but some don't and it gets really bad. It can also run in families. My mom, two sisters and brother have all been depressed.

Good question. Maybe you were not persistent enough? Did you have to explain everywhere that you are a felon? I doubt it, becasue I know of many jobs where you don't get asked anything. And these are the jobs illegals do.
You aimed much higher than an illegal, that's my answer.
