Hasn’t this question been asked and answered like 500 times already? Why do we have to endure reading these repetitive recycled moronic questions? Is there some contest going on to see how many times the Answers community can ask the same idiotic question?

Just ask him.
Men are simple creatures with simple responses. If you show some interest in him then he will probably show a LOT of interest in you.
Most guys your age are too embarrassed to ask a girl out. Their fear of rejection and lack of self confidence is very powerful. If the girl starts the converstation then most guys will like it. They may be embarrassed at first, but secretly they will be flattered and like it. After you talk with him a bit you can determine if you want to go out with him or not. Ask him if he will study with you (or something innocent). If he only wants sex then he will probably pass it up. If he is interested in you then he will say yes.
If the guy doesn't like you then he will tell you. He might lie if he thinks he can get sex from you, but if you keep the relation cool at first then he will quickly flee it. Yes, all men want sex, and it is always on top of our minds. That's in our genes and our instincts, we can't avoid it. But, men are not as complex as women are, they don't need to be. Women keep looking for deeper meaning and hidden meaning, when most of the time it just isn't there, not in a guy. Women think this way because all women think the same way, it's in their genes, but men think very differently.
Ask him something like "Someone told me that you like me. I would like to know if they were right." If he says yes, then you have your answer. If he says no then say, "Oh, I didn't realize you were still a child." Then walk off before he can respond. If you can do it in private then he will only be crushed and not your enemy. Regardless he will be off your mind and out of your way.
Just ask the poor guy, and don't worry about it.

Guys tend to hide that they do...if he seems to follow you around...hold on..hmm...try this talk to him for a while...tell him to hold on and walk off to another distance...if he asks whats wrong? then yeah.. he likes you...lol cause guys dont really care for feelings unless it conserns themselves...for in this case..the girl he likes...trying to see if he can make her feel better....or the guy could be one of the nicest guys around...last resort yourself to ask him yourself or like everyone else does....ask someone else to do it
