No they shouldn't ever. And I agree others can do the work. Kids need jobs too-might help to take them off the street.

Of course illegals should not be working here. Prisoners can't do the work it is not politically correct to make them actually earn their keep. Many of the non violent would probably like to work . In this way they could learn a trade and make honest money.

There are many reasons why illegal immigrants are employed in various workplaces. Sometimes wages, costs, desireability, supply and demand. Honesty and dependability are sometimes factors that prisoners are not able to perform as they are not bondable. This is a challenge of nations in various parts of the world, not only the United States of America. The best way to fight the problem is with hiring practices, if you want to hire people from your country, hire people from your country. Period.

Yeah the prisoners might want it but if they knew how much they would get paid to do stuff that most of the illegal immigrants work for... they would pass it up because it's minimum wage..really MINIMUM WAGE.. That's y no one else is doing it but the illegal immigrants..hard work for little pay..they will take it...and yes to ur question i think illegals should be workin here because i doubt anyone else would want take their jobs for that lil bit if money.

I do not think the most prisoners are ready or willing to do the work of our illegals. Secondly, it is too risky to have them out and about in society, where they are locked up being banned from society. Lastly, because of our stupids laws/government it would probably be considered cruel and unusual punishment. Freaking rat bastards!!! I think we need to start using our death penalty more to lighten the load of these lazy prisoners.

I don't believe illegal aliens should be allowed to work here. They've broken a federal law, by entering our country illegally. Many of them are here only to exploit our services. Many are here to send money back to their homelands, so that they can return, and live better than others in their country. As they have entered illegally, they have very little or no interest in assimilating into American Society. Most of them protest about "having their rights", when we try to deport them.

It's against their rights to put prisoners to work without paying them minimum wage. That's why they aren't doing it. My mother was a mental health nurse who was beaten within an inch of her life and permanently disabled by one of her male patients. She used to like to give some of her patients who liked doing it a bucket, some soap and a scrub brush and let them clean one end of the hallway floor to the other when they got agitated. She never forced anyone to do it. Some of them were calm by the end of the opposite hallway and they were proud of their accomplishment. She couldn't do that with this guy because the state would have to pay him minimum wage to do it and they weren't going to do that no matter how much it helped him. So, they just increase meds and increase the danger of beatings like my mother took. I'd say it's a vast improvement, right?

no they shouldn't be working here...if you let a prisoner do the work its the same as letting the illegals do the work..they are both criminals and should not be treated different

Question is, would you work the fields? These prisoners would not do the work and would you rather have an illegal landscape your garden or a convicted rapist/murderer? 'nuff said

We do use prison labor. We do need immigrant labor as well. Since you're a cowboy, you should know that farms are most in need of "strong backs" to do hard work.
