Depends where in Canada. I know in some province there's elementary (Kindergarten to grade 6) Junior High (grade 6-8) High school (grades 9-12) than college of some sort.

In Quebec (where I live) we have primary (Kindergarten to grade 6) secondary (grade 7-11) than you can do a technical college training (i.e. if you want to be a technician in whatever field) that's three years. But if you want to go to university, you do a preparatory college training (2 years). University undergrad studies are 3 or 4 years, depending on the program. Masters and PhDs are each 2 years, if you do them full time.

As for this page in French, I don't think it's really Canadian anyway, we get the same people as the American one, I suppose. French people go on Yahoo! France.

Education in Canada is primary and secondary. After that there are community colleges (generally 2 years, oriented towards trades or specific technical jobs) and universities (3-4 years). And to get the page in French, click the French flag. Yahoo doesn't know that Canada is bilingual.

Canadian education is based on:

Preschool (JK)
Elementary (K-8)
Secondary (9-12)
Post Secondary (college or university)

As far as your second question, Yahoo is an American site, and Yahoo Canada is still run by Americans. I also guess that there many be less demand for a French version, although you do see many here post in French.
