By that you mean you want to study ninjitsu. Well how quickly you progress really depends on your commitment to your training, the time you put in and to a degree if your body is made for fighting. All Martial Arts are a discipline that needs to be learned/ and by discipline the combat aspect is only part of it and there are about 25 different arts to ninjitsu including survival techniques, espionage, hand to hand combat, stick fighting, sword fighting, evasion, misdirection and the list goes on. It is safe to say that like any martial art to become truly profeccient you must devote years to it and you still never stop improving. But you are officially a 'ninja' at the end of your formal training I would think.

I think if you study hard you can do it in about 6 years. To be a master will take at least 20 years though.

As long as it take you to buy a ninja suit. It's a dead art! It don't exist any more. bujikan is more of a samurai art than anything else.
