I am blonde, have pale skin and very pale hair on my arms, but I recently noticed that a few (maybe four or five) of the hairs on my forearms are black! They appear identical to the other hairs except for their colour (same length, not wiry, etc) and they're not associated with any kind of freckle, mole or skin mark, just scattered at random. Maybe they've been there all my life or maybe they just grew, I never noticed them before but I'm not that observant.

Does anyone else have experience of this? Normal, or a hair oddity? I'm seventeen and female. Discuss.

It's normal. I'm brown-haired, white but a bit olive skin, and my body hair is brown, but I ALWAYS have ONE hair that grows darker on my forearm and, above all, thicker, than the other ones! The funny thing is, there's only ONE at a time (of course, I pluck it as soon as I notice it!)!

Anyway. My dad was mixed (French and Indian). He had dark, curly hair, grey eyes, and ... a blond mustache! That's normal, don't worry! I also had a friend who was Chinese, but one of her great-grandmother was black. She had straight hair, but she had a few hair (like maybe 7 or 8 underneath!) which were thicker and a bit curly.

Oh yeah actually get rid of the hair, no person seems good with underarm hair (men or women folk) thats my opinion besides (its as much as you nonetheless) yet what I actual have heard is that in case you shave your hair, you will finally end up getting extra hair there (like three times extra hair), so dont shave in case you dont elect that, i might say trim it, to make it particularly short and unnoticable. additionally it unhygeinic in case you bypass away it on, (makes you scent) desire this permits :)

It is just your genes. I have naturally light brown hair and I still get dark hairs and weird light hairs in certain places. Just make sure to carry tweezers and razors around to shave them off or use hair remover. We all get them, it is normal and okay. Do not sweat it. If you want to really get rid of unwanted hairs, I suggest lazer or lasik surgery or Nair Hair remover. Do not be ashamed about it. It can be treated.

It's normal I guess... maybe it runs in your genes or one of your parents has dark hair... I don't quite remember the punnet square or the types of dominance but I think this would be called co-dominance dominance... i think that's where there really isn't one color but two. like one blue eye and one green eye...
