I've worked there and my friend still does, she loves getting that free lb of coffee each week, part-timers sure do get benefits.
Starbucks Total Pay package is referred to as “Your Special Blend” because it is unique to each partner. Partners who work full time or part time (20 hrs+) may participate in a variety of programs, and make choices based on individual needs and interests.
Depending on your job and personal situation, your total pay package may include:
*Progressive Compensation Package
*Healthcare Benefits (Medical, Prescription Drugs, *Dental and Vision)
*Retirement Savings Plan
*Stock Options and Disounted Stock Purchase Plan
*Management Bonus Plan
*Domestic partner benefits
*Referral programs and support resources for child and eldercare
*Discouted Starbucks merchandise
So benefits for for part-timers and one of the best company's to work for.

My son started working there a couple of months ago, and I believe after 500 hours (FT or PT), and you work at least 20 hours per week, you can collect benefits! They're one of the best companies in the WORLD for bennies because the founder had a hard time with his parents (before he founder Starbucks) when they were sick and without insurance;
