I called for an estimate once from Rebath and was really shocked. I had thougth that it would be a reasonable alternative to buying a new tub and shower. The price he gave me was something like $1400! I could buy a few tubs for that! Granted, that included installation and so forth, but I thought it was too much and didn't pursue it. They were also going to have to move the vanity next to the tub in order to fit the overlay in so that was additional expense.

Sigh,,, let me know the day that any tub refinishing works satisfactorily, and I'll never estimate a tub installation again.
