I guess the question is, did the family he was born into subscribe to a particular religion, and was that religion what we know as Judaism. Also, was circumcision a religious protocol at the time.

We know the Torah today says that God told Abraham to do it, and it's been a big deal ever since.

check this out (wiki):

The practice of circumcision predates recorded human history, with depictions found in stone-age cave drawings and Egyptian tombs. The origins of the practice are lost in antiquity. Theories include that circumcision is a form of ritual sacrifice or offering, a sign of submission to a deity, a rite of passage to adulthood, a mark of defeat or slavery, or an attempt to alter esthetics or sexuality.Circumcision continues to be performed as a religious requirement on members of the Muslim and Jewish faiths. It is also practiced by the majority of Americans, South Koreans and Filipinos.

So maybe? I wasn't there.

Well said Luke.

I think itellegence just might be the capacity to understand dynamic and opposing thoughts.

Luke 2:21-24, 39-40

After eight days had passed, it was time to circumcise the child; and he was called Jesus, the name given by the angel before he was conceived in the womb. When the time came for their purification according to the law of Moses, they brought him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord, and they offered a sacrifice according to what is stated in the law of the Lord, "a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons". . . When they had finished everything required by the law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to their own town of Nazareth. The child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom; and the favor of God was upon him.

Lk 2:21 When the child was eight days old, he was circumcised. At the same time he was named Jesus. This was the name the angel had given him before his mother became pregnant.

Yes, he was. Jesus was born to a Kewish family and practiced the Jewish faith. There is no reason to suspect that Jesus was not circumcised.
