the same thing happened to me. I went back every day, and after about five days.... there she was. Good luck.

If possible, the cat will return to the old house, however you didn't state the sex. If female it may take her awhile to move all of them. If male he may be a bit scratched up. Cats have been known to follow their family to their new home. Keep checking for at least 6 weeks,if female.

I would be scared to death for my boys if they got lost! Alert your old neighbors and give them you number, also leave food and water out for the cat and an old towel or something that smells like you, that will help him know that youve been there, cats have scent glands on their paws and behinds and are very smart! Also maybe sprinkle some flour around to at least track the direction he may have taken off from..good luck, post pics around the neighborhood too!

Yes, she's looking for you and misses you! She knew you were last at that house. Tell the owners, neighbors, whoever, to keep an eye out for the cat. Go back and check for yourself, I'm sure she'll turn up. Good luck.

in case you supervise him, you could constantly placed him on a kitty harness, the flaws that bypass around the chest and front legs rather of the neck. my aunt lives in a suburban section and is afraid to allow her cat out yet she has a harness leash (rather of a collar leash so the cat won't be able to dangle herself) and her cat likes to place out on the deck interior the harness for an hour or 2 at a time. this form she additionally will have the cat exterior along with her whilst she is out interior the backyard interior the summertime. it rather is probably not a stable thought to allow him roam, nevertheless. he gets previous a fence and there might desire to be any variety of very risky issues accessible - raccoons, autos, mean human beings. attempt to see if letting him interior the outdoor on a harness leash makes him happier.

if ur cat got lost in your old house or a place she/her is familiar with, for sure the cat will go back. But if its a new place i dont think your cat will find its way home.
Well i hope so...keep your fingers crossed and try looking for her in the area, who knows.

Cats have scent glands (or something) in the pads of there feet. It is how they direct themselves. I would save more than likely it will eventually make it home (if something doesn't happen to it). If you do find it, bring it to your new home and put something like butter on their feet. They will lick off the scent and gain the new scent of their new home. Worked for a friend of mine, but don't know if its true.
