my mom always insist on bringing her guy friends along whenever we go do something, which is rare considering me and my brother live with our dad in missouri and her in kansas. its hardly ever just us and our mom. and tomorrow im going to the ku football opening season game, and she is bringing her ex boyfriend. he is nice, but its always sooo awkward, and never that much fun because my mom insist on embarrasing us.How can i make things less uncomfortable?

Can't you be blunt with your mom and just tell her how you feel? You sound sincere and very sweet, you just want to see her, you aren't trying to be mean or rude, I am sure she would understand. Good luck. I love football season!!!!!

That is too bad. I don't think your mother should do that. Are you comfortable asking her if the three of you (her, you, your brother) can do something alone? Does your mother and father get along well enough that your dad could talk to her? Or maybe, the next time she invites you to do something, you could ask her, "will it just be us?" This might give her enough of a hint that you don't like things the way they are.

I would hope she would realize that this is not a good situation and see you and your brother alone. I am sorry this is happening to you.

Have you approached her alone with your question? If not, that would be a good start. Be honest with her and don't hold back your feelings. Tell her if you feel this way that you would really welcome the opportunity to bond with alone. It sounds as though that these are informative years for you both and even though she may always have a guy relation in the future chances are when you become of age to be on your own if the bond is not there than it is reasonable to believe you won't be there as well. Its tough love and she may respect you for it.

You have to tell your mom that the men tag alongs are bothering you and if it is bothering your brother too ask him to speak up. She might feel uncomfortable around you guys, so she ask them to come to. Tell her you want just time w/her to talk girl stuff or do girl things and see what she says.

Just sit her down and tell her that you'd love some alone time with her. And that since you don't get to see her very often you'd like to focus only on your relationship. If it's too hard to confront her, write her a letter or email.

My place of employment supplies us flu photographs for loose each and every twelve months and the 1st twelve months i grew to become into right here, my boss stops via my workplace and asked me if I have been given one. I advised him definite, and in an attempt to make communication I mentioned "i'm getting all my photographs as much as date, even although i'm an person, using fact I fall on steel alot." All I have been given in the start grew to become into this look of "boy she is weird and wonderful" and then he says: "You fall on steel?"....and all I pay attention grew to become into my co-worker (my substantial different in crime) death guffawing from the subsequent workplace over!
