yes and I use it constantly. a lot of what I use it for is to make salsa because I cook tons of mexican food. it's better than a blender because a food processor allows you to chop things finely, like a salsa - whereas a blender just purees things till they have no texture. I use the food processor to puree things, too, like for certain soups, or for fruit smoothies. it does what a blender does, and more.

wait till you get it out of the garage and actually learn how to use it!
believe me, u'd never want to have a kitchen without a food processor once you know how to handle it.....imagine the endless variations of smoothies, homeblend chilis etc etc!!

I had a small one and used it for awhile. Now, most things I need to process I can do in the blender or just use a knife. I have had to decrease my kitchen gadget stash to just what I actually use.

i love my food professor. actually i havre two of them, a big one and a small one. i used them for everything that i need to chop, grind, it mixes great and it is very particul especially for my dessert business
