I live with my boyfriend and his family.. And he's half Puerto Rican... His mom says "cono" (I dont know how to do the squiggly line) all the time... I asked her, and she said it means "damn" in Spanish...

It literally means "pus.y" and it is indeed used in this sense... but, MOST of the time it's just an interjection, like damn, sh,t, crap, hell, or in sentences like what the f..k do you mean, you say que coño quieres decir, or what the hell is going on = que coño pasa? but there it isn't considered offensive, just colloquial although slightly on the rude side.

in Filipino (or Tagalog), that is a derogatory word for a person who belongs to the upper class
