I usually cut it in 5-6 pieces. sometimes the pumpkin pie I made was cut in 4 pieces. I make great pies yum !!!! they are almost gone before I can cut them lol.

Your question made me think back to when i was a kid. My Mother would always make fresh homemade pies.And she had a pie cutter that i would always doodle with as we were talking in the kitchen. And i remember that it would cut 8 pieces at once. So, the answer is 8.

well it would depend on how many people would be having a piece of this pie but normally I cut a pie into 8 pieces.
