age don't matter if you like him .. it sounds like you care more about what other people think .. do what you think is right .. most other people are so screwed up ..they can't run their lives so they think they need to ruin yours.. trust your heart....

If you take a close look around you you will see that there are lotsa really good marriages where the guy is significantly older. They just don't flaunt it because our society does not approve of them. In times past it was common for women to marry significantly older men, even bigger age differances than yours, and been happy and well provided for and when the guy dies and leaves you with stuff you can just get a yoyunger boy toy to play with. Think about it it makes since. It is the older single women who put out these bad vibes cuz they have a hard time finding partners.

Not really.
I think in some cases it could be. But not necessarily.
My husband is 33, and his best friend is 50. And I've spent time with him alone, and he's just a really nice great guy. (I'm 25). He's never been a "creepy old guy." Just a nice guy with nice manners.
Your 44 year old friend could be the same. Or he could be trying to get into your pants. Just be careful and use your judgement.

age ain't nothing but a number. if there is any kind of chemistry and you like him, and you feel comfortable with him, then why not? even if you don't want a relationship, hanging out can't hurt. older guys are better because they are established, have money, have more respect for women and don't usually play the bullshit games. with an older guy you pretty much know what your getting......

Yes, he's too old. I would be very leery of a 44 year old man who wants to "hang out" with a 23 year old. Men that age don't "hang out." The very fact that you use that phrase indicates that you won't have anything in common with this man. Don't bother with him; you'll find men closer to your age more willing to "hang out" and not get involved in a relationship.

You have some really negative answers, but surprisingly most say it's cool. I agree with the majority. As long as you two are alright with it then it's fine. Don't let the negative minority make you feel otherwise, it's basically up to you and if he makes you happy when you're hanging out together then go for it.

Stay away!, I have been there and done that, and trust me the relationship was a easy one, and yes we started out as "friends" what you need to ask yourself why would a man of his age want to be friends with a person of your age. Yes he is to old to hang out with it.

Too old; I'm 42 and wouldn't hang out with you.
What could you 2 possibly have in common.
He just wants some young meat, believe me.

Inless you give a man viagra like candy....or they are naturally blood thursty horn dogs...which is what you are at this age....\
He wont give it to you enough....
that is the only thing. Oh yeah and hes in a different mind set then you. He is suppose to have his life planned out for him, have kids, college, have grown up kids who are in college, have it all planned out.He basically started his life and is pretty much gotten to the easy part and sometime for most is nearing to the end. and you are just now starting your life, you are just now getting to know yourself. You have no idea what you really want out of life and you wont know for a while. live you life and find someone around your own age to mess around with. please. your waisting your time.

No, it's not too old. I do have some unusual escapades with older folks. Who cares if he old enough to be your father, or even grandfather. Just as long as he still has some bite.
