K depending on how many people you are trying to feed you should do
1/2 poud beef
1 Tbs Oregano
1 jar fave sauce
1/2 pound each of cheddar and mozzarella
1 small container of ricotta cheese
1 pinch salt
1 clove garlic
1 box lassange noodles.
serves four
Brown a half pound of hamburger (drain when too greasy) add 1 tbs dried oregano..set aside
You need a small container of ricotta: Add 1 egg to the ricotta when you mix it, it thins it and it also causes it to spread easier on the noodles..it will thicken when cooked. Add minced garlic to Ricotta and a pinch of salt. set it aside.
Boil your noodles according to the package directions...Id use half a package.
When done boiling rinse them in cool water so you can handle them easily and they wont stick together.
layer noodle, then cover with ricotta mix sprinkle browned beef and then cheddar and mozzarella, then pour sauce, do next layer the same. Keep up until you run out of noodle.
good eating. ^_^

In a separate bowl: mix ricotta, mozzarella (save 1 cup mozzarella for top), and cheddar. add a 1/16 (half an 1/8)tsp. oregano. Mix together real good.
Oil your baking dish. Spread a 1/2 cup sauce on bottom of dish. Place 3 raw noodles over sauce
Spread 1/3 of remaining sauce evenly over noodles.
1/2 of cheese mixture.
3 raw noodles.
1/3 sauce.
remaining cheese mixture.
3 raw noodles.
Remaining sauce.
Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup mozzarella.
Grease one side of foil and cover lasagna.

YOU DONT NEED THE CHEDDAR AT ALL......YOU BOIL THE LASAGNA NOODLE UNTIL SOFT BUT FIRM....DRAIN AND RINSE...... BROWN THE MEAT AND DRAIN THE GREASE FROM IT...... OLIVE OIL GOES IN THE PAN BOTTOM AND SIDES.YOU CAN ADD OREGANO SPRINKLED OVER THE GROUND BEEF...AND A LITTLE GARLIC SALT OR FRESH GARLIC CHOPPED FINE....SOME GREEN PEPPER CHOPPED FINE AND SOME ONION CHOPPED FINE.... THEN YOU ALTERNATE THE LAYERS...FIRST THE NOODLE LAYER... THEN ONE OF MEAT THEN A NOODLE LAYER....THEN THE RICOTTA.... EACH LAYER GETS A DRIBLLE ACROSS WITH THE SAUCE .....WHEN THE LAYERS ARE ALL ON . POUR THE REST OF THE SAUCE OVER IT .....SPRINKLE WITH MOZZARELLA CHEESE AND BAKE 350 FOR ABOUT 40 MINUTES UNTIL THE MOZZ IS MELTED AND SLIGHTLY BROWN I DONT MEASURE SO I CANT HELP YOU THERE.... ITS BEST TO LET IT SIT IN THE HOT OVEN TO SET AWHILE SO THAT YOU CAN HAVE NEAT FIRM SLICES

Baked Lasagna, the basics.
Choose your lasagna noodles, and cook as directed on package. You should have enough for at least three layers.
Place aside for easy access.
Cook the meat mixed with onions, minced garlic and diced green peppers. Easy with the oregano. Salt and pepper to taste.
Place aside for quick access.
Use deep dish rectangular cooking pan. single layer bottom of pan with cooked lasagna.
Lay on a layer of the cheeses followed by the
mostly cooked meat mix.Ragu sells some nice sauce (or make your own), layer a coating of it over the first layer of stuff.
Lay on the next layer of lasagna and repeat with
the other ingredients.
Lay the last layer of lasagna on top and lightly coat with sauce and a little of the cheddar.
Baking times vary with the situation.
You'll know, look for the crust to start forming on the top. Any of the ingredients can be changed or substituted to your liking. 375 degree oven will work. The ingredients are really already cooked.
Too much liquid makes for bubbly run overs.
When you see that crust and the bubbling its ready, let in cool for at least and hour.
ahahaha
That's not easy for me, enjoy.

mostly depends on how many people you will be serving and how big your pan is....for a family of 5 this is how much i use ....
and i use a roasting pan to cook it in....
2 lbs meat (or sub with broccoli, cauliflower, carrot, spinich mix)
oregano to taste
2 med size or one large container of ricotta
amt of cheese to taste as my family really likes lots of extra cheese we use at least one lg pkg of each
1-2 boxes of noodles cooked
2 jars choice of sauce
cook beef and noodles
preheat oven to 350*
layer noodles, meat, sauce, ricotta and other cheeses, and repeat till you have the number of layers you want. then cover last layer with either some sauce and then some cheese or just lots of cheese
bake till heated all the way thru or cheese is melted and slightly bubbly.
