an iso is a standard way of storing a cd-rom image in a single file. Use a tool like daemon tools to mount it as a virtual cd rom drive.

A ISO file is a DVD image. Get nero or daemon tools.

ISO is an Image file. you can search the net for ISO extractor. I usually burn ISO files directly to CD.
