a budgie shouldn't get peanuts unless it outside in winter and thats means only in winter why u ask they contain too much fat and thats bad for birds but in the winter a little extra fat is good if out side to keep warm

In the shell, keeps them occupied for a short while, its what they would have to do in the wild, its better for them than opening them yourself, stops them becoming lazy, and if they get lazy they get fat and thats bad for their health.Too much peanuts will make them fat, so give very sparingly.

They love them in the shell (unsalted of course). They can open them all by themselves and they love doing it! It's a toy and a treat all in one! Good luck!

crack a little hole in it, but let them do the work. it keeps them busy with something.
