Do you wonder if Mel Gibson wishes that was all he'd done?

Interesting question - having been the receiver of a few of these calls and being a psychotherapist by profession - it is my belief that the drunken ex has unresolved issues and feelings that he/she keeps under wraps most of the time. Alcohol lowers the inhibitions and the person feels free to do what they want (in this case make that midnight phone call) and say what they want to say without thinking of the consequences.

when your drunk you remember that some one loved you once, LOL you call make plans etc. that's it. i have an ex that's been doing that for a couple of years i live on the left coast now he's on the right he calls to say he's going to visit etc. ignore it or don't answer the phone.

well for me,ive broken up with my ex bout 4 yrs ago....who ive phoned when drunk up to last year,,,even though ive been dating new guy for 2 years.....its almost like you want to know if they miss you...if your not feeling loved at that very moment and your drunk why not...? they always seem to like the fact that you were thinking of them....if you called a friend at 3 in the morning....they tell you to go to hell...but an ex gets a strange kick out of it....thats why they dont hang up...or do they?.....................................................or do we crave those little words...baby i love you ...take me back or i want you back..we get depressed when we drink.want to feel that loving feeling again.......but it just go away with time xxxxxxxxxxxx

Have you ever heard that kids and drunk people say the truth?
Maybe when they are drunk they remember that little someone who used to his/her company

Alcohol lets down your inhibitions and makes you romantic. Intimate things went on and memories come back..

Because they're familiar with this person...When someone gets drunk at a party they're fine till they get home and are alone and start thinking. Then they get depressed and start thinking about happier times. .Your familiar to him and he knows he can call. They need someone to talk to and there use to you.
