I have never gotten pregnant while on birth control, I think that the longer you are on birth control, the harder it is to get pregnant as well.

You really need to talk to a doctor about your concerns. There are many different types of birth control and each has benefits and problems. Only you can decide what is right for you. The right doctor can be a big help. Your health, lifestyle and how soon you may want to get pregnant all enter into your decision.

I have known many people who have used birth control pills and had no trouble getting pregnant, but everyone is not alike.

Good luck to you.

I have used depo provera and ortho tri cyclen. Yeah both did a good job at preventing pregnancy and no I haven't had a problem getting pregnant since. The only thing you need to know is that if you have a family history of cervical cancer and breast cancer you need to tell your MD. Also, you are more likely to have complications if you are over 35 and smoke. Most hormonal birth control methods are almost completely effective if taking as directed.

Birth control ( Allese, Ortho-Novum, Yasmin are all safe contraceptive methods if you take it faithfully everyday. You must take it as directed though and use a condom in addition for the 1st month just incase the egg has already dropped. Condoms are very safe when used with spermacides. It's ver close to 99%. You can get pregnant after you go off of the pill. Your fertile time is 14 days after your period begins, So, hope this helps,

I had used Ortho Tricyclen when i was 14 because i had horrible periods and the doc said it would help for that..I was on it until i was 18 and i got off of it because i was tired of always having to take them everyday..It was a New Years Resolution..I did have unprotected sex when i was on them and i never had any unwanted pregnancies..That was until about 2 months later when i had got off the pill and i had got pregnant..so yes Birth control pills do work but u MUST remeber to take them EVERYDAY!! that is if u don't want to get pregnant..and yes i got pregnant rather quickly after getting off of them...maybe for other women it is different..I dunno.

I started taking birth control in high school to help relieve menestral cramps....so this is dating back back at least 8 years. I had a baby in May of this year.....so getting pregnant after you stop taking your pill for a while will not, or at least, shouldn't be a problem.

I never got pregnant being on birth control, but I have heard that it can't and can effect you wanting to have a baby in the future. It might just depend on the person.
