If your sister is "Evil" she wouldn't have taken custody to begin with if all you did was lose your job. I think there is a lot more to this story. You just don't give someone custody of your children, because you just lost your job....

You can go to legal aid, if you can't afford a lawyer, have you been to the Foster care social worker? when they have the Citizen Review Board for Children, did you get a letter to come to the board meeting? And you should have signed a service agreement, If you did every thing on the service agreement, then you can get your children back. Just because she has money, does not mean she can get your children. You have to do your part also, like, get housing, job, etc,

As long as you are doing what the courts have asked you to do then you have nothing to fear about your sister getting custody of your children. What state do you live in because some state laws are different and if i were you i would go to seek counsel from a low or no cost attorney. Most courts like to reunite the children with their birth mother...let me know what happens.

You are still entitled to legal representation under the law; the court CAN assign an attorney to represent you. Speak with a social worker. Call the court and ask. Go to any advocacy group and ask for help. Do not sit around and try to defend your interests in court against an attorney... you're sure to lose and the risk of losing your children ain't worth the gamble.

there is no longer lots you're able to do. Your sister on the different hand is the mummy of the youngster and has lots extra criminal authority/criminal duty to guard the youngster and ask for the courts restrict on the fathers visitation. She might desire to the two tell the father that he's not the father or get a restraining order to bar touch. If the guy does get visitation, be sure he additionally gets newborn help imposed by ability of the court docket too.

if you have only signed them over for temporary custody, then there must be somewhere on the documentation that states when the children should be returned to you or under certain circumstances. i don't think it matters if she has money to burn, the fact is, the children belong to you and she has absolutely no legal right to them. if she doesn't return them, i would probably go to the police first and get them to intervene if possible, she may be charged with 'kidnapping'. she has no right to keep those children against their will.

You need an attorney. Attorneys do some pro bono work. Talk this over with someone you trust. Your pastor, a good knowledgeable friend, call the bar association. There is surely someone who will help you if you are being honest.

Every State has different laws governing this issue. Since you are jobless, you can qualify for free legal aid. Contact the local Bar Association for assistance, and be quick about this.
